Andrew Lopez is the founder and managing member of Sequoia Legal, LLC, headquartered in Denver, Colorado. As an Of Counsel attorney at Murray & Associates, LLC, Andrew brings deep experience in corporate law, international regulatory matters, and complex business transactions to clients across Colorado and beyond. 

 

Andrew advises domestic and foreign companies, organizations, entrepreneurs, and individuals on a broad range of corporate and international regulatory and transactional matters. He has extensive experience counseling both publicly traded and privately held clients on securities and regulatory matters, commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and numerous other corporate matters. As a corporate and transactional attorney in Denver, clients rely on Andrew for guidance at every stage of their business, from entity formation and fundraising to reorganization, growth planning, and dissolution. 

 

On international business matters, Andrew counsels’ clients on all aspects of U.S. national security and foreign policy export controls, sanctions, and embargoes administered by the Department of Commerce, the Department of State, and the Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). He has extensive experience with licensing and compliance in these same areas. Andrew routinely assists U.S. companies and foreign issuers in evaluating and addressing situations implicating the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), including pre-contract due diligence, evaluation of relationships with local distributors and agents, and internal investigations of past activity. He has also handled voluntary disclosures and enforcement cases involving Commerce Department and State Department export controls and financial sanctions administered by OFAC.
